Music Is Painting
Music has been part of our human civilization since our existance. No part of human history didn’t have some form of music.
Since the primitive times our forbears are already musicians making use of materials available to them as they managed to create musical instruments. Utilizing animal skin they made their own version of drums and they used these musical instruments during their different feasts and rituals.
We homo sapiens can easily be moved when someone touches our feelings and that is precisely how mostly all of us finish up loving music. Music has the power to touch or maybe control our deepest emotions. Similar to music, painting and paintings can bring out emotions that we didn’t know we had.
Let us look at history and discover how music touches the various feelings of the people. In a tribal war in the olden times they mostly brought with them a kind of drum corps. The requirement of the drum corps is to constantly play battle hymns to incentivize and enhance the morale of the warriors. In the American Civil war there had been also drum corps playing all kinds of tunes depending on the situation, in a war they might play fast and brave tunes hoping to touch the emotion of the squaddies making them go with the beat of the drums. When the Titanic crashed into an iceburg and slowly sunk into the deep cold waters the musicians endlessly played calm and assuring tunes in order to stop folks from panicking.
Painting can also be deciphered back through time in that painters, taking oil painting workshop classes and the likes, and paintings were the icons of that time. Since the ancient times people have discovered the benefits of music as it not only sooths our emotions it can also actually influence us on the way we act. By instinct, folks rashly follow their emotions, if we hear a lovely love song we fall completely in love and motivate to court the person that we like. If we catch the tune of a fast rock music we also feel like that there’s a feeling of instancy that we have a tendency to move fast and swiftly. And when it is time to lay back and relax we listen to acoustic renditions and classical music to scale down our nerves and help us to relax or take a nap. That explains why music since times long past was universally accepted as a form of art with no question.
John Mason, a free lance writer who took up different courses for painting for beginners focusing on still life paintings from master artist Daniel Edmondson, writes about how music and painting is alike. Readers will become awed by how much they would realize music and painting have in common.
